When our friends reached out and let us know that they were going to reopen the old Death or Glory restaurant and take it back to its previous name and style we were excited to be a part of the project.  There was a sign in place that included backlighting.  We just needed to replace the whole panel in a way that we could allow the light to come through to light the sign.  We decided that we could do a full-painted panel with acrylic lettering in a way that the light would be allowed through.

“We needed to use the existing sign but update it to mimic the old sign and logo of The Falcon House.  The backlight feature was very important as we are primarily a night time business.  The guys at Catapult had the vision of how to do it”

We took a full acrylic panel and cut out where the letters and logo would be.  We then used 1″ thick clear acrylic that was cut to match the lettering and logo.  These pieces were pushed through the panel from the back and glued.  Then we took 1/4″ thick colored acrylic that was cut to match the lettering and logo and glued these pieces on top of the clear.  This would allow the light to come through the panel and give a glow-like look to the letters and logo.

We couldn’t be happier with the way the sign came out.  The client is happy and we continue to see the sign posted on social media over and over.
